I bought these Everlast trousers from Sports Direct a couple of months ago as I needed to stock up on some more sports wear and they were reduced to about £8 from the RRP of £21.99.
Everlast was originally started as a brand for boxing equipment and clothes, but these days they also make more and more general sports clothes. The name Everlast was chosen for the brand because of the promise that the items would be good quality and last a long time.
When I first picked up these trousers I could tell the quality was good, as they felt so soft and not too flimsy. They are made from 100% cotton and are fairly thick. The trousers are three quarter length, gathered around the bottom of the legs and the waist, which has a soft stretchy waistband. As it is stretchy, it gives a nice fit as it will obviously just stretch to fit and won't gape and leave any bagginess. The waistband can also be tightened a bit by pulling and tying the draw cords. They feel so comfy and nice to wear - definitely nicer than a lot of other sports clothes I have as they are just so soft! As well as for sport, they would also be great to wear around the house if you want to just lounge around. As they are a fairly thick 100% cotton they are pretty warm if you are lounging around, but they are also breathable while doing sports.
As far as the design goes, I like these trousers. With women's sports clothes it seems you can hardly escape all the pink, and these do have some pink, but only a little bit. As you can see on the picture, they are mainly black with a little bit of pink piping on the sides, around the pockets and bottom of the legs. The draw cord is quite chunky and is a slightly glittery pink which I thought was a bit much, but it does look quite nice. I wish it came in other colours as well, as I would love it if the pink was more of a dark turquoise instead (my favourite colour) but I have only ever seen them in pink in store and online. There is also a "varsity athletics" logo on the side. I think these trousers would be good for most women, whether they are very girly or someone who just wants a fairly plain and unassuming pair of sports trousers. They have pockets on each side which I have found quite practical. The pockets cannot be fastened, so I wouldn't put anything too important in there whilst doing sports, such as I would not risk putting in house keys and then going for a run, but they are handy for the odd thing like carrying my gym membership card.
I have worn these for running, playing various sports like badminton, football, volleyball and they have been well suited to any kind of sport or physical activity.
They wash well and can be machine washed. Mine have come up well every time, without any colour fading or bobbling.
I would recommend them and I will get myself another pair if I see them on offer again.
