      Ladies Heat Holder Gloves

I decided it was about time to purchase some new gloves. The one's I had were at least 3 years old and although they had been washed a fair amount of time a hole had started to appear in them. I recently purchased some new gym vests on the Sports Direct website so I browsed their range of accessories which included hats, scarves and gloves.

      The Gloves

Some of you may have heard of the name Heat Holders before, as they are well known for making a range of socks for men, woman and children. As well as socks they also make hats & gloves, thermal underwear, tights & leggings. All of Heat Holder products are thermal and are made from special materials which help to keep the heat in therefore keeping you warmer during the cold, winter months. Their products come in a range of different sizes and colours to suit everyone and they are perfect for the weather we are currently having at the moment. The gloves are thermal and have been designed with advanced insulating yarn that has high performance insulation against the cold, combined with moisture wicking abilities. They also have a microluxe lining that maximises the amount of warm air that is held close to the skin, as well as a long extendable cuff that can be unfolded to create a long sleeve for extra warmth and comfort. The gloves are available in 2 different colours including black and a dark pink colour. I'm not a huge fan of pink so I decided to purchase the black pair. When looking on the heat holders website the gloves comes in various sizes, how-ever when I purchased these I didn't get the choice of choosing a size so I just presumed they were all one size. The have a cable knit look on the front of them with a ribbed cuff that can be unfolded to help keep your wrists warm. The heat holder logo is on the cuff of the gloves in a bright colour, but this is just a small label sewn onto the cuff. As the gloves are made from 100% Acrylic it means the gloves are machine washable which is what I look for in gloves as I often find they can get rather grubby. I was looking forwards to wearing the new gloves as my previous one's don't really keep my hands very warm and they still feel quite cold when standing at my local bus stop waiting for the bus to work.

I purchased these from the Sports Direct website for £9.99 which I thought was very reasonable, this does not include postage and packaging charges. You may also find these to buy in various other places and on website such as Amazon.

      Wearing the Gloves

When putting my hands in the gloves for the first time I was amazed at how soft the gloves felt inside. They were so soft and I could tell they were going to be snug and warm. I put the gloves on just as I left the house; it was a very chilly morning so I could really put the gloves to the test to see how warm they kept my hands. I spent at least 5 minutes waiting for the bus and my hands felt very warm and didn't feel the slightest bit cold. When I got on the bus I took my gloves off to give the bus driver the money and to my surprise my hands also felt warm to touch which is unusual for me as when I used to wear my old gloves my hands would still feel cold to touch. I popped the gloves back on as I got off the bus ready for my 10/15 minute walk to work. It was a frosty morning so was very chill outside. The gloves were so comfortable and kept my hands really warm during the walk and they didn't feel too hot. The gloves aren't too tight and fit my hands perfectly with me still being able to move my fingers in the gloves and do things such as open the door with them on. At no point when I was outside did my hands feel cold and they didn't even feel cold to touch after removing the gloves.

      Overall Opinion

The gloves are very well made and look great on, with the cable knit design on the front of them. Although the gloves come in one size I think these would fit most people and do stretch a little so are comfortable when wearing. The gloves are really, really soft inside which is what probably helps to keep your hands warm. In terms of value I think the gloves are very reasonable and I would definitely consider purchasing them again in the future if my current one's ever need replacing, but I think it will be a good few years before they do need replacing. I haven't yet washed the gloves so I can't comment on how well they wash and how long they take to dry, etc. These are by far the best gloves I have ever purchased and I can't recommend them highly enough. I can't think of one bad thing to say about these gloves and I would highly recommend others to invest in a pair.
