A few days a week I go out delivering leaflets for my Dad in all weathers so over the past year or so that I've been doing it I've built up a bit of a collection of more practical clothing to wear whilst leafleting. My first port of call for all stuff like is always Sports Direct, as I've always found it suits my needs perfectly as I never wear sportswear apart from when I'm working, and I can pick up clothing at a decent price. One of my purchases in October last year was the Nike Legacy Ladies Training Top which set me back £16.


Although the top is available in a couple of other colour options I opted for the simplest, a black top with a white Nike Swoosh across the front which is shown in the picture above. The top is quite long which is perfect for any activity as it doesn't ride up and I don't have to worry about my back becoming uncovered and letting all the cold in if I bend down. The v- neck on the top is just right, it's not too low but it also isn't too high so it doesn't become irritating. The material is 88% polyester and 12% elastane which makes it quite stretchy and means it fits well and is quite snug fit without feeling at all tight. Although the design is very simple, the top is very practical and aesthetically it does the job well.


As I tend to work even in the rain, the Dri- Fit fabric first attracted me to this top as it promises to" bring moisture away from your skin to keep you cool and dry". After using it for a few months it is this feature alone that would convince me to buy this top over and over again. If it's a hot day the material is very breathable and I keep cool, in normal tops if I'm working for long periods of time I'm very conscious of feeling sweaty but with the Dri- Fit fabric this isn't a problem. I've also found that in the colder weather I'm kept nice and warm as I mentioned previously the top is quite long and snug fitting and keeps the heat in well when it's needed. If it's raining although I still get wet it doesn't come through the top and I am not left feeling soggy and miserable.


As I mentioned before I bought this top about seven months ago now and it's still in brilliant condition, as if it's new. I wear this top all the time when I'm working so it gets a fair bit of washing but doesn't look worse for wear at all. As the instructions on the clothing suggest I was my top at 30 degrees and let it air dry as it can't go in the tumble dryer. I'm sure I will get many more months of wear from this top which makes it great value for money.


Overall, I've been really pleased with my purchase. At £16 the top is great value as it can be worn over and over without looking worn. The top keeps you dry and warm but it also cools you down in hot weather. Although the top has a very simple design it's very practical and definitely a good buy.
