When would your wear Bagz Shorts?
Bagz shorts have been designed to be worn on those warm sunny days when you don't mind if you get wet. Ideal for a quick dip in the water as swim shorts to.
The shorts are made from quick drying ripstop tactel fabric.
The rear of the shorts is covered with cordura.
The shorts have an elasticated waist with a drawcord.
The shorts have a cargo style pocket with a gear loop.
The shorts come in the following sizes small, medium, large, XL, XXL. Be warned that Peak sizes are small made.
Only one colour is available and that's charcoal/ice.
I bought these shorts thinking that they would go well with my rashy and they do but I haven't worn them as much as the top. Read on to find out why.
The shorts I bought were unlined and I found the material a bit rough on the insides of my legs. You can however buy a lined pair but at twice the price!
Its good that the shorts have a little extra protection on the rear of the shorts as this is where most of the wear is going to be.
I liked the idea that the shorts had an elasticated waist unlike most board shorts which don't. A little extra stretch I thought, I was very wrong! There is very little elasticity so not very comfortable.
The pockets are fine for storing the essential bits you might need to. There is some velcro on them to keep them securly closed.
I bought the XXL shorts as these would be the same size as my paddling trousers which are also made by Peak and are plenty big enough. Well I got them on but they were anything but comfortable, I felt like I was having to hold my breath and was afraid to bend or stretch incase I split them.
I'm afraid to say these are anything but baggy shorts, which won't be coming out to play unless I miraculously loose weight. If however they did fit me I would certainly wear them for summer watersports, as I do believe that they would perform well. I have lots of friends who have them and love them but then they are tall and skinny paddlers and I'm sure that is who Peak are aiming them at.
