Ping Collection Ping Dalton 3 Pack Golf Socks
Advantages: none really
Disadvantages: poor quality
I bought a pack of three Ping socks for my husband for when he plays golf. He likes to wear Ping whilst golfing and has many tops and always rates heir quality so I thought I would buy him these.
In the pack we got were three pairs of black socks with the logo on the ankle.
My husband was initially impressed but sadly they didn't stay very impressive. They are 80% cotton and 19% nylon and the other 1% is elastic. My husband said they were comfortable when he put them on but felt a little bit tight around his legs. After a day of golfing he said that he wasn't impressed and his feet felt very hot and sweaty.
They did not feel all that thick really so it must be to do with the make up of the material.
When I washed them they were quite coarse even after I put them in the tumble dryer too so they were not very comfortable to touch and didn't feel like the most soft socks in the world.
My husband has continued to wear them on occasions but doesn't play golf in them as he says they get his feet too hot when doing so.
Over the space of a month or so these socks have really lost their quality completely and a few have developed holes in them. I would expect better than this from a brand which is highly regarded in the golf world. Perhaps we just got a poor example and others will be better but we won't be trying out any others in the future and will stick to using others in future. I am disappointed as I think £10 for three pairs of socks should mean that you get quality.
Summary: no good
