      Affordable running tights

I used to just wear sweatpants to the gym but because all of the sweatpants that I had were fleece lined and quite thick I always felt like they were weighing me down and they obviously made me sweat a lot more! After a bit of 'research' (looking at the clothes that other women at the gym wore!) I decided to buy a pair of running tights which are basically leggings.

I wasn't too sure about which brand or style to buy but after browsing the sports direct website I ended up buying a pair of the Puma 'essentials' tights. I chose these because they were cheap but also because they were a lot plainer than most of the others and I didn't really want them to stand out as I'm self conscious of my legs so I don't want attention being drawn to them! They are also full length which I liked as most of the other running pants I looked at were three quarter length.

They are plain black with the small Puma logo on the left thigh area which is really small and not noticeable as it is the same colour as the rest of the tights but if this does bother you for whatever reason the logo can be covered up really easily with a long hoodie or t shirt. The tights are only available in one colour which is black and it is a nice shade and completely opaque.

I've washed my pair about five times and the colour is still solid. The tights are really easy to slip on and they are stretchy and adjust to the shape of my legs. They're not too tight and feel really comfortable and soft. They have an elasticised waist which doesn't dig into my stomach or anything and it feels nice and secure so I know that the tights won't fall down or anything. They're a little long on me but they can be rolled up and I like that even after being washed 5 or so times they have not lost their shape and the material has not become baggy.

They feel very well fitting and true to size and i have them in my usual size. When I'm wearing them I feel a lot less restricted than I do when wearing sweatpants and they are lighter than a normal pair of leggings but just as warm. They have a lovely smooth and soft feel to them and they also have moisture management which helps keep sweat away from the body & keep skin dry, and it does actually work! When I used to wear normal leggings and sweatpants they'd be damp from sweat after an hour long gym session but these are never sweaty.

They are very tight and well fitting so they do show off lumps and bumps but I think they're more flattering than a normal pair of leggings and because they're black they make my legs look a little slimmer. They have a small internal pocket which will come in handy for some people but personally I don't use it. These tights are really cheap and I only paid £13 for mine and the retail price is £18 so they're a lot cheaper than the other running tights around, they're nothing fancy but they are good enough for me and I recommend them.
