I used to just wear sweatpants to the gym but because all of the sweatpants that I had were fleece lined and quite thick I always felt like they were weighing me down and they obviously made me sweat a lot more! After a bit of 'research' (looking at the clothes that other women at the gym wore!) I decided to buy a pair of running tights which are basically leggings. I wasn't too sure about which brand or style to buy but after browsing the sports direct website I ended up buying a pair of the Puma 'essentials' tights. I chose these because they were cheap but also because they were a lot plainer than most of the others and I didn't really want them to stand out as I'm self conscious of my legs so I don't want attention being drawn to them! They are also full length which I liked as most of the other running pants I looked at were three quarter length. They are plain black with the small Puma logo on the left thigh area which is really small and not noticeable as it is the same colour as the rest of the tights but if this does bother you for whatever reason the logo can be covered up really easily with a long hoodie or t shirt. The tights are only available in one colour which is black and it is a nice shade and completely opaque. I've washed my pair about five times and the colour is still solid. The tights are really easy to slip on and they are stretchy and adjust to the shape of my legs. They're not too tight and feel really comfortable and soft. They have an elasticised waist which doesn't dig into my stomach or anything and it feels nice and secure so I know that the tights won't fall down or anything. They're a little long on me but they can be rolled up and I like that even after being washed 5 or so times they have not lost their shape and the material has not become baggy. They feel very well fitting and true to size and i have them in my usual size. When I'm wearing them I feel a lot less restricted than I do when wearing sweatpants and they are lighter than a normal pair of leggings but just as warm. They have a lovely smooth and soft feel to them and they also have moisture management which helps keep sweat away from the body & keep skin dry, and it does actually work! When I used to wear normal leggings and sweatpants they'd be damp from sweat after an hour long gym session but these are never sweaty. They are very tight and well fitting so they do show off lumps and bumps but I think they're more flattering than a normal pair of leggings and because they're black they make my legs look a little slimmer. They have a small internal pocket which will come in handy for some people but personally I don't use it. These tights are really cheap and I only paid £13 for mine and the retail price is £18 so they're a lot cheaper than the other running tights around, they're nothing fancy but they are good enough for me and I recommend them.
With going to the gym all of the time, I get fed up of wearing the same things when there so I decided it was time to buy some new things to wear at the gym. I had a look on a few websites but some of it can be quite pricey for what it is, that's why I thought of going onto sportsdirect.com as they have decent sports clothes for an alright price. I was looking for some long leggings and wasn't bothered about the brand but these are called tights as they are really fitted, I liked the idea of them though as they pull everything in and are made of the right kind of material. These Puma ones looked good and the price was great for them too so I had to order. APPEARANCE These tights come in black and have the Puma logo right at the top just on the top left thigh which is nice as not too flashy with the branding. These have a waistband and are very stretchy, I just went for my usual size 10 and they fit perfectly and they run from sizes 8 through to 18 which is really good. These tights are made with an elasticated waist which is good for working out and they are 88% polyester, 12% elastane and have a small internal key pocket which is handy and I didn't know about until looking on the website. These look good I don't think they would be as flattering on a bigger size but they do look fine if you can pull them off. PUMA ESSENTIAL LONG TIGHTS I couldn't wait to try these on when they arrived, delivery was quick and I was praying they wouldn't be ridiculously tight that I couldn't get them over my thighs. When pulling them on just roll up over the calf and they should slide up easily, they shouldn't be moving around much with creases or anything like that as they should be so tight to the leg, like skinny jeans. These literally fit like a glove and move with me which is great the fabric is for flexibility and USP moisture management technology works to keep sweat away and make these feel dry when on. I thought these were great on and made me look skinny right away, pulling everything in. When on these are great whether you are running or on the gym machines, these feel like skin they are that comfortable on and so easy to move in. I love that the fabric is perfect for working out and even when sweating you don't notice so there is no awkward sweat patches as the fabric is absorbent and doesn't keep damp but dries right away. The waist isn't uncomfortable as being elasticated there is a bit of give, these go to the waist so they are not low and when sitting on the rowing machine, these don't slide down, they remain exactly where they were put on and I love this about them as it makes working out so much more easier. A lot of women wear these at the gym and now I can see why, obviously I wash these regularly as they do get dirty even if you cannot see the sweat. These are machine washable and so I washed them on a hand wash option and this was quite delicate, I took them out to dry naturally and they were soft and thankfully didn't shrink. I was a bit apprehensive about washing these but they came out great and as good as new, fit exactly like before and came out great so that is always a perk. I like that these come in just black as it looks the best in this colour, you can stretch away in these tights and work out with ease while still looking good in them and feeling confident. I can't recommend these enough, I got them for a bargain price and the sizing is good on these. Puma are a good brand and these are a lot cheaper than the likes of Adidas and Nike and look exactly the same and do the same thing. I enjoy working out as I feel I look as fashionable as you can in gym clothes but these just makes it easier to move and my performance is better since having these. I can move faster on the cross trainer and cycle quicker on the bike which is good as nothing is restricting my leg movement. I will probably buy another pair of these just to make it easier and save me washing all of the time, thoroughly recommend them. COST You can buy these tights in a Sports Direct shop or on their website where they are on offer and will cost you £14 instead of their RRP of £17.99 which is good enough for me and all sizes are in stock online. The official Puma website is http://www.puma.com/.
