As a keen runner, you are often placed with the dilemma of how to carry a drink whilst on your run. Carrying a standard 500ml bottle is not ideal, as they will slip out of your hands when sweaty and have no real handle. I purchased the Ronhill water bottle for £2.99 from Amazon a few months back and have been delighted with the purchase.
It has a smooth grip which fits all sizes of hand and so can be used by large and small hands alike. The design with the Ronhill logo on both sides looks professional and the bottle gives the appearance of a much more expensive bottle. Furthermore, the pull-top is comfortable to drink out of whilst on the move and allows you to squeeze the water into your mouth without putting the top in your mouth in case you are worried about falling whilst drinking.
The bottle holds 270ml but they do also do a 500ml one if you are going on a longer run, and there is no place for you to fill up. 270ml is a good amount for a short 15 minute run but if you are going further, then you will need the 500ml version.
The best aspect about this bottle is the cost. It can be bought from Amazon for just £2.99 and this is a steal for any keen runner who does not yet have a wrist bottle. If treated well, it should last just as long as the expensive brands of bottle. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this product.
I run a lot and I've gotten through a lot of wrist bottles, I think my main problem is that I end up nibbling on the sports cap, a terrible habit. As I replace them every few months I don't like to spend a lot so when I found the Ronhill Sports Wrist Bottle on sale in Sports World (also known as Sports Soccer and Sports Direct online) for the amazing price of £1 down from it's RRP of a reasonable £2.50 I bought one with gusto.
The bottle is a standard grip bottle in white with the Ronhill logo up the side (on each side if that makes sense) in black. The screw cap and sports top is black also and the cover is semi clear plastic. It certainly doesn't look like a cheap sports bottle, so I was happy with the looks.
It's easy to fill up, just screw the lid off and fill up with water or isotonic drink or whatever takes your fancy. It will hold 500ml of liquid which is handy as that's the size of a standard bottle of drink if you're buying a bottle and decanting it. The water (or whatever liquid) holds well with no leaks from the screw cap.
In use, the bottle has proven easy to hold and my husband (who has bigger hands than me) finds it easy to hold also, so I'd be confident in recommending this to all types of runner. I think 500ml is a decent amount of liquid for a standard run or power walk, I always find it's just the right amount.
I am so pleased with the Ronhill Sports Wrist Bottle that I've actually gone back to my local Sports World and purchased three more for my hubby and I, they should easily last the year and at less than the price I've paid for one other bottle, then you really can't go wrong. I highly recommend this sports bottle, it is incredibly cheap but very high quality and if you're a keen runner, or you just like to go out socially / sporadically, you can't do better than this bottle for the price.
Highly recommended, a well deserved 5/5 stars from me.
