Sitting tight to the skin, the idea is that they'll keep you warm in winter and cool in summer; although there are different versions for cold and hot weather. This, the wintry version is a bit thicker, and does a really good job of keeping you snug. Football goes through its faddy phases, from Robbie Fowler's nasal strip to the mercifully brief appearance of the Snood, but this type of thing appears to be a lasting one. Probably because there's actually a semi-decent reason for wearing it; in the grim, relentless grip of winter and the bleakness of a sub-zero Sunday morning, you often need something to keep the cold out - although gloves and hats soon become superfluous, and wearing tights just isn't an option for those of right mind. I love my under armour tops. I have a selection for all sorts of uses, some of which you may read in my other reviews in the future. Under armour tops are especially good for the winter time for all sorts of sports so if you are the type who likes their outdoor sport all year round then make sure you have at least a couple of under armour tops. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? The long sleeve compression style top which I am reviewing here retails for about £39 but it's worth keeping your eye open for bargains at the discounted sports retailers and online.
