Slam Man:
... purchased my Slam Man approximately 8 years ago. I was a regular at the gym but wanted something at home as well. I didn t just want to get an exercise bike, rowing machine or treadmill (they always end up a cluttered clothes horses), but something a bit different and I found the Slam Man. I had spotted it on MTV on an episode of Cribs, unbelievably it was the Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne puching one i... Slam Man ... have owned this for the past 6 months, and it gives you a fantastic workout, especially if you are into combat sports. Unlike a punchbag, he literally stands, weighed down by sand for you to unleash your power at him. The mini computer attached to his body allows you to co-ordinate punches and also doubles up as a timer. The lights go up in sequence and you literally have to punch the lights out. Not only can you punch him, but you can also give your legs a workout by kicking him. When he s just stood, not being used, put a hoody on him and he can be used as an intruder deterrent! The materials he s made of are really tough and durable. If you fill up with 100kg of sand... Read the full review: Punch your way to fitness by doncasteryb |

Unfortunately, it requires a ton of sand, which takes a long time to fill and not to mention extremely difficult getting it out. Also, when I first put it together and took my first punch the chest sensor went flying off and I had to try and put it back on manually. I was also trying to push the buttons on the computer and it no longer beeped each time a light appeared. Oh, which if you are going to use the SlamMan I highly recomend using it indoors with dim... Slam Man ... buying one and then make your mind up. I wanted one of these things for ages but when I got it I was not so happy. The slam man costs around £200 and £210 inc delivery. It must be filled with 100kgs of sand (water is no good) this is a further £12 - £15, you will need to buy some better gloves as the ones provided are poor (sparring gloves are best) extra £15. Ready to go???? nope!! Filling Slam Man with sand is not as easy as it sounds.. the hole in which you do this is very small and if your sand is slightly damp then it will take anything up to 4 hours. Do not buy this if you do not have a garage as it makes a huge echoing noise when hit indoors and your neibour... Read the full review: Slam man barley takes a slap. by Ralph Hutchison |
