I got my first pair of Adidas Copa Mundials about 6 years ago and i've never worn another boot since. They are great for playing during the summer when the ground is a little too firm to take a metal stud, but i also love using them whilst playing 5 or 7 a side on astro-turf or plastic grass. They are light enough to not slow you down and don't feel chunky as some other boots do. The leather is top notch and if you look after them they will easily last a full season, if not longer. These boots have been available for decades but the simple look is still pleasing on the eye and i would prefer the time-less look of the copa mundial over ...

I love these boots, unfortunately they have a to common knack of seperating from the sole near the ball of the foot, but most boots do this. However, not as frequently as these. Out of about 6 other teamates who all sport these boots, everyones has split in the same spot on both feet (which you would think eliminates any individual reasons for this). After looking into this problem, i came across an atricle written by a supposedly sponsored footballer, claiming he and his teamates had experienced the same problem. This footballer claims he spoke to adidas, and they told him, "dubbin" (a popular cleaning/"protecting" product used by many players, ...

These boots are old but the fact that they still command a fairly hefty price tag should tell you something. It’s a bit of a cliché but we’re talking about football here so a few clichés are positively encouraged – sorry, I digress, basically these boots are a perfect example of the ‘if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mentality. For years players managed to get by without artificial aids to help them instead having to rely solely on their natural ability (and fitness??).
