Advantages: Great feel and sense of control
Disadvantages: Rugged looks, dont look as elegant as they feel.
I bought my pair of Adidas Predator Swerve Football Boots at the beginning of last season and they have served my extremely well, deep into my second season of wearing these boots.
The Adidas Predator Swerve becomes the latest major addition to the Adidas Predator boot collection and features more technology than ever before. Available in a choice of three sole plates designed to cover any surface or condition, the Adidas Predator will feature prominently across the globe in international competitions and all the top divisions, right down to grass roots footballers.
SmartFoam technology has been introduced this year and a re-designed PowerPulse system gives this boot increased ball spin for accuracy and masses of power. A very soft K-leather is used for added durability, lightness and to make the boot fit extremely comfortably around the foot.
I recommend these boots to any player who likes to get the ball down and pass; due to the increased time spent on the design and technology of the boot, it fits the foot extremely well and means ball striking becomes extremely true, resulting in you being able to move the ball in whatever direction you want to extreme precision. The particular pair I had used the soft ground studs system, I believe this to be the optimum sole for theses boots as it allows you to strike the ball cleanly without scuffing the ball when using the long studded option.
If you enjoy the shooting aspect of the game, these boots are a great choice; this is down to the new Dynamic PowerPulse technology. The PowerPulse element filled with tungsten powder, shifts weight toward the point of impact, this enables players to put more power behind every shot.
This is a highly recommended boot, and in my view has very little downsides. The only thing I could find is that the boot could be made to look more elegant as currently it looks quite rugged, and this does not suite the soft and controllable nature of the boot.
Summary: Brilliant all round boot for players who like to play good football.

- 06/03/09 I didn't get on with them, I found getting more power into a shot accurately harder. Mine cost me a small fortune as well, so im not impressed. Glad you had more luck with them! Or maybe your just better at football! lol. |
