Advantages: good range of quality products/ endorsed by some top sports stars

Disadvantages: as with other top brands -worker welfare issues?

Adidas is a sports manufacturer which produces a number of diffferent items for various sports including football, tennis golf , running, basketball and cricket amongst others. Adidas is a German brand and has it's headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany. The main slogan currently used by adidas in its advertising campaigns is "Impossible is Nothing". A number of big names are used in their advertising which include David Beckham (footall),Lionel Messi (football), kevin Garnett( basketball) as well as many others.

Adidas I believe produces a number of quality products across a wide range of sports. I have mainly used them in the football department. A few football shirts I own are made by adidas and they have some great features to them and usually have a nice design. The climacool technology also allows the shirts to breathe easier and be more comfortable to wear.

I also recently bought an adidas tech fit shirt which I got for alot less than the normal price they sell for . These shirts are said by Adidas to be "designed to focus your muscles energy to generate maximum explosive power, acceleration and endurance. " Also when you put one of these shirts on, your posture tends to improve . Alot of the top athletes I have seen wear them including people like Michael Ballack and Steven Gerrard.

I also have had Adidas football boots. The latest being a pair of adidas predator astro turfs which are great quality and have a design which allows a greater impact area to hit the ball with and generate more power when hitting shots.

Adidas is one of the top brands in sport alongside Nike and produce a number of high quality items. As well as sportswear they also sell a number of accessories including bags, eyewar, watches,socks , deodrants, perfumes etc. A criticism of adidas like other major top brands is with their apparent use of cheap labour and worker welfare issues. Overall though I believe it is a top sports brand.
