Rifles
by profesa cumalot I got the b2 air rifle today, it cost £29 + pelets and delivery totaling about £42. The gun is made from metal and wood, is heavy and has a fair bit of power. The gun does seem to smoke alot however I think this is just as it is new. The sights seem to be off or maybe they are hards to use because its ... quite hard to pull the trigger which forces the barel to move as you squeeze. All in all a great gun for the price. by stefano1984 Well, let me fist say if you wanna get into shooting dont waste your cash on plasic models that dont feel comfortable in your hands. and one drop there broken in half. If you waant to get into shooting i reccommend buying either the smk b2 air rifle at £35.00 or the smk b3-f underlever at around £45.00. My first air rifle was a ... smk b2 air rifle which i was amazed when i reieved it through the post. I thought for £35.00 i would get some plastic abs rifle. but infact when i opened it, it was real hard wood stock with real working mechanisms all made out of metal the only plastic part on the smk b2 is the butt on the stock which is there for grip. Ive read other reviews about this air rifle and people always seems to say it rusts like mad, the seal goes and so on. Ive had mine for 2 years, ive got no rust, seal is still perfect the only reason its still it immaculate conditions is because i clean it at least once every 2months even if i havent used it. I just wonder if those people who written those reviews saying that the b2 air rifle is sh@t had an air rifle worth £500.00 would they clean it?????? Its a mystery. What i use to clean it is a can of wd 40, gun oil and an air rifle cleaning kit which i bought for £11.95. THATS IT. It takes about 15 minutes to clean. Anyway back to the rifle, the smk b2 air rifle is excellent for a beginner its an ideal weight and power (not legal limit as it says in other reviews). Power term i havent got a clue what its at, but imagine shooting the yellow pages at about 20metres and going cleanly through 270 pages. Ive still got my smk b2 air rifle, ive done some changes that anyone can do, ive put on a 4x40 scope with illuminated cross hair, 12 LED torch which is good for night hunting, ive sanded down the stock and re-varnished it. When people see it there amazed that its a b2 because it looks so different. Yes the stock has got a dodgy dark brown gloss but its easy to sand down a nd va rnish yourself. If anyone on here wants to know more on how i done it just ask. Anyway i think thats all i got to say about the smk b2 air rifle, please read my b3-4 under lever review which i'll be doing very soon. Please nominate this one, pretty pleaseeeeeeeeee, only joking but if you do think its worth nominating it please go ahead. Thanks for reading my reviews Read the complete review |

Rifles
by Stemondo I have being involved in Airsoft for about 4 years now and earned great knowledge about them and will soon write reviews about persific Airsoft guns available. This opinion is about all the different types and makes of Airsoft guns. Airsoft guns are BB guns if you are wondering and are made to be shot at each other unlike air rifles ... which would take you to hospital, and they are powered by air. There are three types, Electric, gas and spring. Spring powered are the cheapest and simplest of them and are single shot meaning you reload as in pull back the spring, fire then repeat. These can be found from £10 to £150. Gas are next but 90% of gas guns are pistols. These are mostly semi automatic as in when the trigger is pulled it fires one. These use CO2 gas either straight into the gun or in small gas containers. These can range from £40 to £150 Electric are the most popular and the most fun but also the most expensive. These can fire semi automatic and fully automatic around 8 BB's a second. They are big rifles and are powered by an 8.4v Battery. These range from £150 to £500 Now the basis of Airsoft is what you pay for is what you get. If you go to your local toy shop and get a £10 pistol with made in china on the side and it breaks the next day or isn't very powerful when shot don't think they are all like that. If you just want a small pistol for target practicing and don't want to spend too much money then spend around £30 on a decent make like UHC or Marui and you get a good quality gun. If you start thinking to yourself, well these pistols just haven't got the range then you need to turn to rifles. Can I just remind you that these are dangerous weapons and if shot in the eye these will most certainly blind you so you must wear eye protection. The cheapest and best spring rifle out there has to be the UHC MP5 spring rifle it is around £50 and has very god range and don't half hurt but other tha n that you want to look at the marui range. Marui is the leading make in Airsoft and especially in the electric rifles. They are the Sony of the Airsoft world. The spring rifle variety is small and rare but a good place to start. These cost around £75 and are all of high quality which you can't go wrong with. If you want to spend more on one then look no further to a Marui AEG (Automatic Electric Rifle) these are the kings of the Airsoft world, they all use an 8.4v battery (Like a radio control car battery) unless upgraded but I don?t need to go there. There are plenty of choice ranging from MP5's, M16's, AK47's and many more. If you?re a fan to some of the weapons in Metal Gear Solid 2 Marui do the FAMAS, P90 and many more. These range from around £180 for a small MP5K used in the Matrix, to an awesome PSG1 costing around £350 used in MGS2. At the moment I have an M4A1 RIS which is Marui's top assault rifle alongside with the SR16. These weapons fire an average of 8 BB's a second and have a range of about a 100ft and still hurt. They have a velocity of about 290ft per second and the longer the barrel the greater the accuracy. The gun has a motor inside which turns 3 cogs which pulls a spring back to fire the BB. The insides of the gun are made of metal and depending on which model you buy depends on the amount of metal outside the gun. All of the Marui rifles have many, many accessories such as high capacity magazines, lasers, scopes, silencers, etc. If you would like any info on these guns or would like to purchase one at a discounted price rather than paying ridiculously high retail prices then contact me at ste@netxpander.com as I am setting up an online Airsoft shop soon. The legal age for these weapons is 14 years of age and should not be used in public and can be used at special Airsoft skirmish places like paintballing. If you are still confused then decide what you need and what you have got. Somet hing small and simple get a spring pistol. Something small but effective get a gas pistol. Or something to make that cat think twice about peeing up your fence again, or to turn serious and go skirmishing at sites or just to kick the booty out of you mates feeble pistol (While wearing eye protection) get a Marui AEG. But if you do see an electric rifle really cheap with an unknown make which says it fires 400ft per second and is powered by 4 AA batteries, please avoid, there is a lot of crap stuff in the Airsoft market so if you are unsure e-mail me and I will point you in the right direction. I will post more about the different AEG's soon. Read the complete review |
