WHAT IS IT?

A large inflatable rubber ball designed for exercising and working on your core strength.  A hand pump is included but if you have got an electrical pump that is much quicker.

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

You can sit on the ball to help improve your posture or use it for weight bearing exercises.  You have to fully inflate it for best use and use it as part of your regular work out.  This is not stable enough to use as a birthing ball and if you need one of those you should buy a specialist product.

THE DESIGN

My gym ball is gray and has got a very cold rubbery texture.  The rubber has got thin raised lines all over the surface and those are supposed to help with grip but I think they are for visual effect only.   It is a 55cm ball and that is suitable for people of an average height.

WHAT I THINK

This was the cheapest gym ball I could find and cost £4.79 last spring.  I have used it a lot and it is still clean and unmarked, it doesn't need pumping up again very often and when it does it doesn't take very long to do.

It is comfortable to sit on and use but the rubbery feel makes it stick to my skin sometimes when I am sweaty and sticky from exercising. When I have finished using it I clean the surface with wet wipes.

The ball is very bulky to store and gets in the way. I keep mine in the conservatory but will need to start storing it in the garage because we have to keep moving it when we sit in there.

I like using this gym ball and feel it is helping me lose my baby weight. It is not a fat burning item but trains my stomach and back muscles so improves my silhouette naturally, my favourite way to use it is to sit astride the ball and use some hand weights to exercise my arms and tone my core muscles at the same time.
