I recently discovered that my super slim Great Aunt has been attending Yoga classes for years - I wish she'd told me earlier I'ld have gone along to my nearest class like a shot! This is a fantastic form of exercise! Initially some of the exercises can be a little complicated and difficult to enact but given time you rapidly improve and wonder how you ever had problems. The main differance with Yoga from other forms of exercise is you concentrate on your breathing, this exercise won't leave you sweating buckets but gently flexes all your muscles leaving you with an overwhelming sence of well being. I love Yoga. It is great. I go to classes at my lovely Courtney's in Balham. AT first I thought easy life. Lying around on mats, deep yogic breathing or pranayama. What was Madonna whinging about? Then after they have lulled you into a false sense of deep breathing security comes the hard bit. Flex here, bend here, stretch here. Don't breathe, breathe now. phew! This part consists of different postures or asanas which stretch different muscles (you can tell which the next day). I highly recommend yoga as part of a great fitness plan. It is said you can lose weight with yoga, though this is not explained in full. To lose weight with yoga you have to concentrate real hard on what you are doing and be really devoted. But then at the end of the day you won't really lose much anyway. As I am an University Student, most of my time are seated in front of stupid electronic screen and doing fingers exercises. After certain period of time, my neck and shoulders become so stiff that I can't even stretch my body entirely. Therefore, I strong recommend to all of you that do YOGA regularly. Maybe you don't even know how to start initially, just try to learn it ! As what I know, Sudgen Sport center do provide such training course with supplmentary payment.
