A lot of fun to play badminton (Badminton - General)

I only start to play badminton regularly when I entered the university. Unlike Malaysia where I came from, badminton is not on the top list of sports in UK. This is probably why I can play more here than in Malaysia.? As, before in Malaysia, it may not be easy to compete with other students to play in the courts in school. Although it's sometime hard to get a court too here, it's certainly much easier.

My point is, the way sports are run in UK, it's probably very hard to attract more players into the sport. With virtually very little media coverage, it's impossible to promote the sport. Well, the best example would be the All England. It's reputably one of the most important tournaments in the badminton world. Look at the media coverage! It's hardly (or none if I'm right) any coverage on the BBC Online. (By the way, you can goto World Badminton online to follow all the major tournaments result at http://www.worldbadminton.net/).

Update:
I was quite disappointed when i browsed through the BBC sports ONline website thi smorning. I can't find a news update on the on going Thomas and Uber Cups which is currently taking place in China.
I understand that since England has not qualified in both competitions, naturally they will not get much coverage in the media. However, as an online sports website that not just serving the UK readers, they should have at least give the result for the arguably most important team events in badminton's calender.
Without media coverage, it's very difficult to improve the sport's image in this country. By the way, Denmark surprisingly beat Korea in the opening match today and in the Thomas Cup,while Hong Kong stunned Indonesia and the Netherland beat Denmark in the Uber cup.
