Basketball may make you think of tall men jumping up to slam dunk the net. However, many people play basketball and it is very popular in America. Basketball is a great way to work out as you are always moving, jumping up and down and making sprints down the side of the court. The basic rules are 5 a side and you play with a specialized basketball to shoot it in the nets a each side on the court. There are many rules that you have to learn, but they do make good sense once learnt and are easy to pick up. The international games last 10 minutes and there are 4 rounds. The NBA games have four quarters of 12 minutes each. NBA is a very popular tournament in the ... Read the complete review

This review comes in conjuction with the start of the NBA season, beginning today when last year's champions the San Antonio Spurs face the Portland Trail Blazers. Basketball is my favourite sport to participate in, and second favourite to watch (after American football). It is the second most viewed spectator sport in the United States, and is played by over 300 million people in 144 countries. ===Playing The Game=== Essentially, this game is very simple, however many may be put off by the numerous rules, the rules aren't too difficult to understand, and after a few game, it is to work out. Basketball is competed with five ... Read the complete review

-----INTRO Basketball is my favourite sport to play and to watch. I actually used to like football but when I got injured playing football I just quit the sport. From my knowledge basketball started in the 1890’s. Its actually a funny story how it started though I don’t know in every detail. It started when a P.E teacher was supposed to teach a class of ten students, however the was bad weather that day so he had to come up with a game for the children to play and keep fit. So he divided them in to two teams of five and formed a game of basketball with a few basic rules (they have now been developed). Because there was no basketball in those days ... I'm a big fan of basketball or I can say I love basketball. I remember during my teenage years high school to be exact, I try out for a varsity team, even if my friends won't come with me and the venue of the try out is far, I still came. Unfortunately at the last moment I back out because I have to prioritize my studies, and that time I just don't know how to balance school and basketball. I would rather play basketball and go to practice than open my books and do my projects and assignment, that's how crazy I am with this sport. This sport was introduced to me by my father, he has a local favorite team which is my favorite too. The team has a tag line ... Read the complete review

Ahhhhhhh Basketball, The true sport of Kings, forget all this Horse-racing malarkey, Basketballs where its at really, not only is it a fast-developing sport, but the NBA and movies such as `White Men Can´t Jump have given it that `cool´ status, that is finally making the sport world-renowned, but what is it all about?, is it just a group of americans running around a basketball court calling each other `sucka´? or is it more than that, well let me try and explain the sport that I love to you a little bit better. First off, why do I love it so much?, I´m british!, I should be following sports such as Football and Cricket and I certainly shouldn´t even be giving a ... Read the complete review
