I have always loved a game of Pool, and always thought of what it would be like to have my own games room in a fantasy mansion of mine complete with full size pool table. Unfortunately, I have never had that million pound lottery win so I have had to make do without.

Last Christmas, I was bought this mini pool table which, although not a full sized table, was a very entertaining gift and immediately I set to work playing some games upon it, that's of course when I could pry my little one away from it!

The pool table ranges from £10 to £15 and can be found on Amazon at the moment with free delivery.

The pool table is built like a very miniature version of the real thing with wooden sides, six pockets which allow balls to run down to two openings either side of the table, slightly padded cushions and a green table top. It comes with two small cues and all the balls you need for a full pool game as well as a triangle, brush and chalk.

The boxed product weight is 1.4kg.

Of course, with the size of this table, you would not expect to be able to have a real game of pool, though you still get a lot of fun from playing and both children and adults alike can enjoy a game. My little one loves playing us and has become quite a pro now she has learnt which end of the cue is which!

The cues are sturdy and made well, though the ends are not as well made as real cues with a hard end to them which makes chalking them pointless. Hitting the balls with the cue works well, though.

The balls are striped and spotted and all numbered to allow different types of games on the table and roll well across the top and into the pockets.

The pockets are decently sized, allowing the balls to drop down easily.

The table itself is heavier than it looks, and is made reasonably well. The cushioning is slightly padded though nothing like the real thing and taking corner shots and bouncing off of the cushion is very difficult to do.

With my little one playing on the table, I was unsure as to whether the cover would tear as she scrapes the cue along the top quite often, though we have had this a few months now and the table still looks as good as new.

If you are after a sense of real pool then obviously this mini pool table is not for you, though this is one of the better mini pool tables I have seen even with the slight problems I have mentioned above. If you are looking for a bit of light hearted fun whether you are an adult or buying for a child, I fully recommend giving this table a go, though do check for the lower price as I think £15 is too high for what it is.





Nb: I can not find my tape measure at the moment and the box is not easily accessible though when I do find the measurements I will re-edit.
