If you know you snowboards you'll know that Burton are one of the top manufacturers of Snowboards across the world-

BUT

they made a real boob with their Step In system. Brought onto the market in 1999 the SI system was supposed to be the ultimate in ease. Instead of messing around with the ratched bindings you just stepped in, the clicked and you went on your way.

THIS IS NOT THE CASE. After 5 metres of walking on the snow, the interface between boot and board WILL clog up and you WILL have to spend 5 minutes chipping out snow and ice. I don't know if this is the same for other step in systems, but i would think that it is.

my advice- STEER CLEAR OF STEP-INS

I found the f-in ace, far better than the strap ons, but stay away from the rossignol equivalent, they aren't ace at all. Buy Burton Si, save hours
