Body Combat

I have become something of a gym whore at the moment and currently have memberships at three local places since my teaching schedule means I can only attend classes at very particular times, and no place alone can meet my gym needs. Two of my gyms offer a good range of classes, including the Body Systems franchise - Body Pump, Body Balance and Body Combat being the 3 on offer since Mexico is a little behind the times and not all clubs offer the other Body brands (Jam, Vibe etc) yet. Exercise classes - don't you just love them? Draughty community centres, middle aged ladies in lycra g-strings, all chanting 'one two three four five six seven eight' as they repeat their starjumps... OK, so that was the Eighties. As epitomised by Jamie Lee Curtis in 'Perfect' and of course Victoria Wood ('let's just funky it up a bit' - etc). By now many people will have noticed this new exercise class springing up in gyms and health clubs around the country. A bit of a mystery still? I'm here to explain! Body Combat is a relatively new exercise class based around the disciplines of kickboxing, karate, tai chi and tae kwondo.
