Advantages: Big profile, Good middle and a fair price
Disadvantages: Not the best quality
<>First impression and price etc<>
My first impressions of this bat was that it was heavy, at 2lb 10 it was always going to be fairly heavy but the pick up made it feel nearer 3lbs. The kashmir willow looked alright, it had lots of grains and a few blemishes but the grains were quite wonky. The stickers were very bright and a bit too busy for my liking. The profile looked big and edges quite chunky. For £60 it is a good buy.
<>Preparation<>
This took about 5 hours knocking in before being able to use against a new ball in the nets. I oiled it several times and placed an antiscuff on it, it did not come with a toe guard on so i glued one on myself.
<>Performance<>
The bats middle seemed very large and when you swing and hit it...it goes!! The weight makes it harder against fast bowlers and its very difficult to cut and pull. The middle is fairly large and pretty mid placed on the bat.
<>Durability<>
Having not used it in a match, just nets it has had some workout but not against a brand new ball. However it has stood up very well to the nets. (about 12 net sessions) No cracks or swelling has come up on the bat. The antiscuff really helps this and the toe guard keeps out any swelling.
<>Overall<>
A good bat but not the best quality. A great net bat for £60 however getting slightly lighter one than you require is recommended.
Summary: A good buy for nets but not high performing for long matches
