Steelhead Woods:
... was a player of a fairly desent standard with a handicap of 18. i bought a steelhead plus and my handicap has improved drastically, it is now 12! The sheer briliance of the callaway club fills me with confidence as i tee off on the opening hole of my local course. I'm a junior golfer and prior to my purchase of my steelhead plus, reg graphite shaft, i was driving 200 yards on average, now i'm driving at lea... Rule 35 ... The Callaway rule 35 is definitnetly a millionares ball. having spent £39 on a pack of Callaway BLUE and Callaway RED (spin / distance) I found it hard to keep a positive attitude towards playing my tee shots. The distance balls hit like a gem and the spin balls do take a good kicking out of bunkers. Playing off a 21 the ball does perform well for mid handicapers. Colin Montgomerie used this ball in the LOCH LOMOND invitational and played extremely well. I think that the ball is more for the rich person or pro/am. Th one criticism is for putting, your eyes seem to transfix upon the little target on the ball. A great ball to play, a horrible one to loose. ... Steelhead Woods ... well what bad could be said about the new callaway steelhead not much.I went and got one for my birthday and have not looked back.My driving distance was always big but with this club I can hit par4's in 1.This takes lots of strokes of my scorecard as you will have gussed. If you paly the game of golf alot then this club is for you it may cost you but it is worth it.So go on get out there and buy your steelhead and watch your handicap come down. ... Rule 35 ... Having only tried the Callaway rule 35 red ball i cannot compare the red ball with the blue ball. However according to what Callaway claim i can say that the red ball performs equally as well as its opponents. I am comparing it with Nike's distance control ball and Titleist's distance ball. The Nike ball was the best in terms of distance off the tee. The titleist was best in overall performance in terms of driving and iron play. The Callaway was best in terms of the feel the player gets when striking the ball. At about £15 for 3 balls is it really worth the money? Well not really for the price it is partly a fashion item but for performance it per... Read the full review: Worth the money? - by horza |
