Cannondale Super V 700 SX

Purchased this Super V 700SX new in 2000 for $1800.00 and decided to upgrade the rear V brake to a Coda disc to match the front bringing the price to just over 2K. This bike is rock solid at speed and plush in technical track. If it has a weakness I could Identify three areas. First, the Coda discs of this year work just ok in as far as their ability to haul you down from a steep decsent and you will cook the pads in a short order. I get four rides out of them and then have to shell out $55.00 to replace the brake pads. There are two compounds and both go just as quick. The pads are to thin and just don't take the heat cycles.
