Concept 2 to loose its crown to The Fluid Rower (Concept Two Indoor Rower)

Advantages: get fit and healthy, reliable, easy to sell on

Disadvantages: Price, Slip and Slack on start of stroke

Concept 2 has been regarded as the king of indoor rowing machines. Most health clubs and gyms will have a few of these in the cardio area. Most out door rowers will have trained on one of these machines. Although I think the crown is about to be lost to Fluid Technology and the excellent range of Fluid Indoor Rowers.

The concept 2 and its air system and the initial resistance is poor you almost get a few inches of stroke before the concept 2 rower starts to bite, then once you over come that initial force it then peeks and almost turns using its own force, almost free wheeling the large fan wheel. Compare this to the stroke on the Fluid Rower, its there no wait, no slip just constant force, when you stop your stroke the fluid rower stops!

Concept 2 have had the lions share of the market for years, people at fitness centres have had nothing else to really compare, at nearly £1000 for a concept 2 model 2 we are talking some serious cash. Commercial rowers from First Degree Fitness start at around £599 thats a serious saving.

The fluid rower is good, its smooth and does the job, but know you can get other rowers that are better and cheaper.

Summary: Once the king of the rowers, now slipping fast, better value in other brands
