Advantages: The set is cheap and it is great quality.

Disadvantages: There aren't any.

This set is the cheapest set in Argos and probably one of the cheapest sets I've seen in most shops. The main reason it is so cheap is because it isn't branded like Dora or High School Musical etc but the quality is just as good. The sets my girls have are pink but you can buy a black set if you have a boy or if you don't want such a bright colour.

Now for some information on the pink hat: The hat is very sturdy and at the bottom of the hat it is coloured black. Inside the hat it is made out of hardened polystyrene making it soft and comfy. It also has Velcro pieces stuck inside making it more comfortable for your child's head and makes it fit tighter and securer. On the top of the hat there are six air vents which will make there head sweat less as air will be getting through them and it won't be so warm for them. The hat has a strap down either side which fasten under the chin to keep the hat on. You can tighten or loosen these depending on there size. The hat will fit head sized 48-52 cm.

The set comes complete with two pink elbow pads and two knee pads. The elbow pads are slightly smaller. The pads are quite comfortable with a block of plastic on the front of them for if they fall on them it will protect them. The rest is made out of material making it easier for your child to bend there arm or leg. Each pad has two strips of Velcro which can be adjusted to fit your child, and these allow them to be tightened so they can be more secure and supportive.

I think this set is great as it will keep your child safer and more protective. My girls especially like the fact that they are bright pink and go with there pink bike. In the Argos catalogue there is a deal on a few of the bikes, where if you buy a specific kids bike you will get this helmet set half price. So if you are buying a bike from there it's worth seeing if you can get the hat set cheaper. At the moment we are teaching our girls to ride there bikes. We have found when they have there safety set on they are a lot more confident and feel a lot safer.

Summary: Overall I think this set is a bargain.
