Hi there! Read this before you join the Kensington (Point West) club: They charge £86 a month plus Joining fee which is £200!!!No shorter than 1 year membership! No free or even one day trial! You should be a member to use the gym. Small prints: You should give 3 months notice for cancellation from the first of the following month you give the notice!!! If you decide to do any thing about your membership like transferring to other clubs it takes ages to be sorted out. I was not a member of this specific club but have been a member of David Lloyd health clubs. Their facilities are built to a very high standard and apart from the usual Monday/Tuesday evening rush equipment availability is pretty good. I was a member of the Maidstone, Kent club. I would like to warn anybody joining a health club to make sure they understand the membership terms fully before joining. You may be keen to get fit but for many unfortunately this can be a short term whim but the membership contract shows more commitment. I joined this flagship gym on Cromwell Road in London last September shortly after it opened. It is by far the best gym I have seen in London, spread over a huge amount of space on the bottom 5 floors of the Point West Building it has fantastic facilities. The "wet area" comprises a good sized swimming pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. There is a studio for the wide range of free (and pay) classes, two large gyms, a bar/retaurant area and a beauty studio. Unfortunately I left this area so I had to end my membership!
