 ... well run and enjoyable. In particular I like the Keiser Cycling (spinning) classes as they are fast paced with some great music. I also enjoy the pilates and aquaerobics classes. The timetable is comprehensive and classes seem to be at convenient times. One thing that has changed recently is that the club no longer prints timetables for classes, although this isn't really a problem as it is available online. I've been a member of David Lloyd, Southampton to for the last six months and so far I've been very impressed. I've been a member of a number of gyms, but this is by far the best and for me it represents great value for money. The gym itself is massive and has lots of equipment. I've never had to queue for any of the cardio vascular machines as there are so many of each one. There are also some less common machines which it is great to try. The Southampton club opened in April 2001 on a 12-acre site on the western edge of the city, with convenient motorway access for members who do not live locally. The facilities include a health and fitness suite, dance studio, six indoor and four outdoor tennis courts, four badminton and three squash courts, large indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and steam rooms, etc. There is a popular bar, lounge and restaurant area for those who want to put the calories back again after exercise!
