They have built a new DL near us and I decided it was time to loose some weight. Friends and neighbours went on about it and said that although it is expensive it is well worth it. So I called in and got some prices and arranged to come back another day for a tour. The chap who took me round was so uninterested and did not sell the place to me at all. Yes it had nice facilites and plenty of gym equipment so you would never have to queue but I was not impressed. David Lloyd is a great health club. I'm a member of the club in Warrington. It's modern, spacious and there's lots to do. There's a gym with lots of different equipment, from the tread mills to weights. There's three squash courts, plenty of badminton and tennis courts and aerobic classes. There's also a large inside swimming pool and one outside as well, where there are sometimes barbecues. There's a sauna, steam room and a jacuzzi, particularly good for relaxing in. I've been a member for about 5 years. I really enjoy it and have met a lot of friends there including my now partner. A lot of the staff have been there a long time which is nice - familiar faces. They've just put in a brand new gym with all the latest equipment. I saw the last review and didn't think it was very fair since the person wasn't even a member. Last year they opened a kids gym which was good because it shows they're focusing on kids fitness but also it took the kids away from the main part of the club and made it quieter. David Lloyd Warrington is fantastic! It has everything you would need all under one roof. Both indoor and outdoor pools...its like being on holiday!!! The family activites are excellent as the club cateers for all ages.
