Advantages: Good spin, Maneuverable, No vibration
Disadvantages: Heavier than some competitors
At 12.5 oz this is a fairly heavy racquet, which for some will be an advantage, and for others, a disadvantage. The strongest feature I felt was the stability on volleys, half volleys and overheads, perhaps due to the extra weight. Off center hits pretty much die. It has a traditional racquet design, including flexibility and thin/straight beam, merged with modern day materials. Also, note the overlay ultra-high modulus graphite, elastomer yoke, and kevlar. The muscle Weave does demand that the player creates some of his own power; if you have full, long strokes and generate your own pace this racquet will be a dream for you. It's great from the baseline, solid at the net, and an absolutely a dream on serves, while providing no vibration. It also provides exceptional control, spin generation, and good maneuverability. I would recommend this racquet to anyone seeking a control frame with a below average amount of power, and players with full strokes. It can take a little bit of getting used to, as any racquet can, finding that sweet spot and consistently hitting it, but once achieved, this racquet offers good rewards. Definitely worth a look.

- 23/07/01 Not sure scudder, I borrowed it for a while from a (more avid tennis playing) friend. |

- 22/07/01 Have to agree £200 is a bit pricey but it would be worth it if it could temper my huge overhits on topspin drives, anywhere you can buy one cheap? |

- 12/07/01 Bit pricey at £200. . .I'd want it to play the game by itself for that price ;-) |
