The "Paddle" or "Blade" is the flat piece in contact with the ice and used to hit the puck with. This was the weak part and became removable. The Shafts were hollow Aluminium Tubes. If you know about Ice Hockey, you will know the Detroit Red Wings. They are one of the most successful teams of all time and possess a star studded line up. One of these great players is Brendan Shanahan, one of my favourite players. In fact Brendan is so good, they even copied his stick and named it after him! Immortalising him Wood and Laminate. It also allows players such as myself to be able to play with an identical stick and hopefully shoot like him! Why would I want to?
