I am currently a member of a Fitness First gym and a very proud member, at that. I go there pretty much on a daily basis and love having a workout where the equipment is plentiful, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. There are a range of classes which you don't have to pay extra for which change every now and again, dependent upon member feedback. I regularly go to spin classes and get a 500 calorie burnout session.
In the morning you can get a free copy of Daily Mail and free drinks throughout the day. DVD's can also be rented, which i found to be a really good perk, as it ensures you go the following day to return it.
In terms of value for money, this is the gym for you. At under £30 a month, if used well it is well worth it.
