“ Located at the Dome in Doncaster. „
The fitness village in doncaster is at the dome. It is part of many sports facilities available.
There is ice skating, squash, badminton, various airobics and many more.
The machines are very modern in the fitness village and there is a running track around the outside of all the machines. Above all the machines there are massive TV screens playing music channels.
The weight room is very extensive with mirrors all the way round however you have to fight your way in sometimes past all the body builders.
They have ab crunchers at the back and boxing equiptment at the front.
Membership is quite expensive but worth the money to use the good quality machines. They have special offers where you can have a taster session with a personal trainer.
If you do become a member you earn points that can be redemeed against diferent classes that take place every week.
The staff in the gym are very helpful however the staff on reception could do with some training. If you ring up and ask a question then ring up 2 minutes later you will get a different answer, they really are hopeless.
Good benefits for using the gym, good friendly staff, nice environment and easy to get to.
If you're looking for a relaxing environment at the gym you should look no further that the Fitness Village at the Dome in Doncaster. It caters for all ages and even encourages school children to participate. Some gyms are quite imposeing and feeling a bit flabby around the midle you don't want to be surrounded by God's gifts while you sweat it away! No problem here, the free weights room is seperate from the main area so no bulky muscle men/women making you feel inadequate. There is plently of equipment to go round even at the busiest of times. Everything is clean and kept upto date and regularly serviced. It opens during the week from 6.30am [okay for those maniacs who like to sweat it out before starting work] and shuts at 10.00pm [except Fridays at 9.00pm]. Weekends are 7.30am to 8.30pm so there's plenty of time to go. Adequate changing facilities are available with warm and cold showers. Extra classes are also held such as Revolutionary Cycling [looks like a killer to me!]. Rates are not that pricey and you can either pay as you go or join with a yearly membership. £20.00 per month gets you unlimited access to the Fitness Village, swimming pools [sorry - lagoons!], oasis suite and discounted fitness classes at £1.00 a go. Not bad if you enjoy exercising. With a young child under 5 years of age it means I can take him swimming at any time free of charge.
