Football boots are becoming more and more essential for those football lovers (like me). These days the majority of football is played on grass and for most of the football season you will need a pair of studded football boots in order to get a decent grip. The boot was designed to protect you when playing football.

There are countless different football boots out at the moment and with the latest additions that experts can put on the boot itself, they are becoming more and more expensive.
For people who play football on an odd occasion then i highly recommend cheap and basic football boots. You can get some from any good sport shop e.g JJB for for around £20.

Now if you play football on a regualr basis and you are happier to pay over the odds for what some describe as 'better boots' then you can get a pair of boots with whatever studs you like on the botoom for £40+.

There are different types of studs that suit different surfaces.
Soft ground tend to be long and are the best studs to have if you are playing on a muddy pitch. Firm ground should be used just before and after winter when the ground is not completely wet but you still need a grip. Hard ground studs are the shortest of them all and are mainly used in the summer.

The latest technology means that some boots weigh as little as 210g!!! That is insane! Nike have recently brought out a boot worth over £200 and my friend bought a pair! Absolutely mad if you ask me! They may be more comfortable but i would never pay that additional money for a tiny bit of extra comfort.

Many say better boots enhance your performance, i do not believe in this! Its the player that fills the boots!

I highly recommend adidas and nike as good value boots and are definately worth getting.
