Advantages: good fun
Disadvantages: 2 balls short
Afternoon all or if your reading this later on then welcome to my next opinion. Im off for 2 weeks and the wife is just nagging all day for me to cut the garden or some other thing which i have no desire to do,anyway i said to my 15 year old daughter,"do you fancy going to the Driving Range",the golf sort not as in driving cars,ok. Anyway happy days,i have escaped from the wifes nagging voice and om driving to the driving range. On arriving i glance at the prices, its 75p for a club and £2.00 for 30 balls,£2.80 for 70 balls or £3.50 for 100 balls. I decide for the 70 balls, that gives me and the daughter a whack at 35 balls each, anyway i go upstairs in the range mainly because no one else is upstairs. So i line up for my first ball and it was a disaster,i just clipped it and it rolled over the edge and dropped downstairs, off course i blamed my daughter for putting me off.. But i found by the time i had hit the 10th ball i was starting to get the hang of it and as i have neck and shoulder problems i notice that the golf swing is also loosening me up so im starting to relax more. I then am having fun but i notice that the bucket off balls is running done,so i start to spend more time over my shots. All in all it was a good afternoons fun and i think i would have enjoyed it much more if i hadnt have been counting the golf balls in my head,do you know i think there were only 68 balls not 70,god i might have been robbed of 2 balls, this will be on my mind all night,i probably will be up all night thinking about it. Anyway my daughter says im tight,do you think i am:-)

dirvine - 01/08/01 SOmething tells me you need to concentrate more on hitting the ball than what number your trying to hit. At least you got away from the wife...sweet!! |
