Looks good, but the real story is a bit different (Greens Health and Fitness Club)

Advantages: Clean and large changing rooms, water facilities good Disadvantages: Customer care, lack of up-to-date equipment, pricey
I joined Greens because it had a reputation of being the best club in my area. They were happy to take my money, although monthly membership was pretty high, I was prepared to pay for the convenience of having the gym easily accessible on my route to and from work. However, once having spent a full year of my contract there, I realised it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. The changing facilities are good, clean and the lockers work with your entry fob - all very easy. Similarly the pool, sauna, steam room and spa were excellent. When it came to customer care and the fitness equipment though, Greens was lacking. There was simply not enough aerobic equipment to use during peak time. The models used weren't the latest Technogyms (the ones with the full colour screens), but the models previous to those. The weights room had a poor selection in comparison to somewhere like Bannatynes. Customer services was abysmal, there was never any service with a smile, and when it came to ending my contract, the membership manager was so short there was no way I'd ever have renewed my contract with them. Summary: Sadly, I was taken in by the image, the substance of the place is lacking in key areas! |
