I am a massive advocate of keeping fit and healthy as much as i possibly can. I really believe that if you remain fit, it keeps your mind healthy, and also gives you a nice piece of confidence when your out and about.

Therefore if your not currently a gym goer or fitness fanatic i suggest you become one, and soon.

Intro
------
The first time you walk into a gym can be a very daunting experience. Your there, either hideously unfit, or hideously small (depending on your goals) and your walking into an area where people thrive on life and fitness.

However, do not let that put you off at all. Get in there, join them, and soon you will no longer be the newbie.

Another great way to not feel quite so vulnerable is to get a full induction of your personal trainer. Although, you do look a bit stupid wandering around trying all the machines, it is essential for both safety and to enable you to get the most out of your workout.


Types of training
---------------------
There are two different types of training that you can undertake

1. Cardio - Cardio is great if your unfit and just want to be more healthy, burn a few calories and look and feel better.
This can be anything from running on the treadmill, to a bike ride, a cross train, a bit of a step or even a row. The oppurtunities are vast, change it up; do a different workout everytime you head in.

2.Weights - My personal favourite. Many people do not realise that if you do weights, you also burn calories. Therefore, even if your chubby, dont be afraid, get in there, burn a few pounds and turn the rest into muscle. The girls will be all over you in no time whatsoever.


Summary

So, on a more serious note, fitness is essential to keep your body, heart and your conscience healthy. Even 3 times a week for 30 minutes will shift some pounds, and get you feeling top notch.
