However, when you do need to replace the strings you should try to get the Head Intellitour strings. These strings enable a player to put an amazing amount of topspin on a ball. Another benefit is that now that the new version of it has come out, the 2001 Radical is only £80 rather than £120/£140. BUY IT ...more

Premium Review Head Ti-Radical: Head Ti Radical (773 words)
by - written on 23/02/01 (Very useful, 1460 readings)
Rating:

Andre Agassi plays with a Head Ti Radical racquet and he has won all four grand slams. Suggesting that maybe he has a bit of talent but the racquet must be good to. Ti Radical O/S -------------- This racquet is quite powerful but also has a fair bit of control. The head size is 690 sq cm and it weighs in at 295g. This is quite heavy for a tennis racquet and I found it hard to play with. This is because I play with a much lighter racquet and notice the difference. Something that I would say to people that are thinking about buying this racquet is make sure you try it out first. If you play with a heavy racquet already then this racquet would suit ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Did you say titanium? (218 words)

Rating:

I bought these racquets- The Ti Radicals, in the thought that they were the latest racquet by head, and had moved Andre Agassi up the rankings dues to the fact that they had titanium in them. Now having spent over £120 on each I find that they only have 2% titanium in them, and the rest is just graphite- I feel a bit miffed, as i am sure you do if you bought them. They do give you a healthy supply of power with reasonable control, and the midsize head is better, and easier to manoeuvre. Since buying it, my tennis has improved a bit, and I feel more confident when I try to put topspin onto the ball. It is also very good for volleying, especially for ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Head Ti-Radical: stunning racket-don't get the new one (146 words)
by - written on 03/07/02 (Useful, 541 readings)
Rating:

I play tennis for the county so I really want a racket I feel comfy with. This racket is superb. If you want a Head racket, go for this. The new Radical is not as good. Although it has the intellifibres in it, there is a fault in the construction just above the handle of the racket and it therefore breaks a lot. The 2001 Radical is far more reliable. The racket gives you a lot of control in your gameplay and it comes with a lovely grip and very useful strings. However, when you do need to replace the strings you should try to get the Head Intellitour strings. These strings enable a player to put an amazing amount of topspin on a ball. Premium Review There here the Ti.Radicals (124 words)
by - written on 04/11/00 (Useful, 172 readings)
Rating:

The Ti.Radical rackets are produced by head and are used by many of the top tennis pros. A great example is Andre Agassi a couple of years ago Agassi dropped down the rankings and lots of people thought he had left the tour. He then worked hard and got himself back on top at this time the Ti.Radical Was born and he used on the tour. That year he won the Australian and US opens. Once i saw the rackets i knew3 i wanted them a few months after I purchased them and started playing with them. I find the racket powerful but also accurate. It is lightweight and this is a great advantage. It cost £120 and is well worth the money. ...  Read the complete review
