Hippo Plus Pro ... of clubs. Well, not true. In fact, players like Sergio Garcia and Tiger woods have done a lot to popularise it with the younger set. When im at my local driving range, it always shocks me as to how many children are playing. However, good golf clubs cost some serious money. A set of good quality irons will set you back many hundreds of pounds. Or so I thought. I managed to pick my set of Hippo Irons up for a grand total of $79 at Edwin Watts Golf Store in Orlando on my recent trip to Florida (www.edwinwatts.com) and I think it is the best £50 I have ever spent. Hippo Copper Faced Wedge ... wedges the best or not. If you are thinking of buying yourself a wedge, to improve your game then Cleveland should be your first choice. Recently i purchased myself the 56 degree gun metal,as before i wasn't getting the consistancy i needed from my old sandwedge.I found that with the new cleveland i am getting much more spin and stop. This has helped my game improve and as a result i've seen my handicap come flying down. In my opinion Cleveland wedges really are the number 1 wedges in the game! ... Hippo Copper Faced Wedge ... have just bought a 64 degree Hippo Copper Face Wedge in the hope to soften my touch around the green. Believe me if, like me, you have no problems spanking a ball 270 yards with you driving but struggle a bit around the greens then a new wedge might be the answer to your problems. I gave this a go and when you are within 50 yards of the green it is possible you lob the ball up very high and land it probably about 70% closer than usual. It is great for bunkers as well. Those tricky shots just of the green are also catered for. This will probably cut about 4 or 5 strokes of my round and being an 18 handicap it will be greatly appreciated ...
