I have been playing hockey for 5 or so years and have played club, school, county and South East area levels. My first stick was a Mercian stick that cost £10. Since then I have had a number of diffent sticks made from different materials and costing diffent prices. After having a few Wooden sticks that wore away I decided to try an aluminium stick. The theory is good, an aluminium shaft and a replacable wooden head. The stick cost £100 and the replacement heads cost £30. I have been using Dita hockey sticks for a long time now, i think 3 seasons in total. The stick i have right now is a dita mega master J. This stick is very thin, it is extreamly good for brilliant close control on the ball. Although it is very thin it doesn't effect your hit, if you strike the ball cleanly it will go as well as any other stick. I personaly have an extra grip on my stick i find this helps a lot with cutting down on vibrations during a game. This stick has a very thin head so it is also very good for flicking you will find that most of the sticks that Dita make are very thin and are brilliant for close control. If you wanted a ...
