Advantages: Cheap, decent quality

Disadvantages: Not as good as micro or razor scooters, but is cheaper...

The JD bug is a company that makes scooters, and in my opinion, they really are the cheapest you want to go. Other makes are razor, and micro (micro being my personal favorite) but in general, they cost more.

This particular scooter comes in a range of colours, including Black, Red, Blue, Purple, Black/Clear (the one in the picture is black/clear). This scooter does feel quite study, and is much better than the cheapo scooters that you can get off amazon for around £10 than last only a few rides. This scooter is basically a copy of the original micro scooter, but at a slightly cheaper price. It weighs slightly less and is smaller, but this isn't a good thing in my opinion, as it makes it not only harder to stand/balance on, but also the size of microscooters have never had an impact on the folded up size or weight in my opinion (so i don't really see any benefit in it being smaller).

However, this scooter really is perfect for someone who wants to "experiment" in scooters, as it is cheap, and of a decent quality. Anything cheaper than this, and i have found that the wheels fall off, the bearing wear down quickly, and the platform that you stand on "flexs", making the ride rough and difficult.

So in conclusion?
I personally would recommend micro scooters or razor scooters, but if you aren't sure if scootering is for you, or you only want to get a scooter for your son/daughter/input appropriate status aged around 10, but you want to give them something that will last, and not be dangerous, then i recommend this too you.

Summary: Good for the beginner
