Pretty Hiking Gear (Karrimor in general)

I first heard of Karrimor when I decided I was going to climb the Inca Trail in Peru. I knew I need good equipment, but also whilst not letting go of my fashion sense. I was so happy to find Karrimor!


Only having discovered Karrimor for about 5 months, i do have a reasonable about of knowledge about their products. They sell a range of hiking and such kind of products. Some include: walking shoes, running/ hiking clothes, camping gear, tents, backpacks, portable cooking sets and trekking socks. My favourite products that I have are the following:

Karrimor Summit Walking Shoes
I bought these walking shoes as I felt that they were definately not as bad looking as other walking shoes and also they had alot of good qualities. The upper part of the shoe is made of suede leather and light weight mesh panels . The outsole are made of moulded rubber for traction on rough ground. These shoes are grey and pink are actually really nice for walking shoes. They are comfortable to wear go help to grip. One thing that I did notice was that the laces did come undone quite alot. I think was due to them being round laces. After tyeing them again and again, I doubled knotted them and then they were fine, so I will need to remember to do this! I bought these shoes at an amazing price of £20.99 reduced from £69.99 from Sports Direct, so i was pretty happy with the bargain I found.

Karrimor Trail Back Pack - 40L
I bought this black 40L backpack on Amazon, sold by Sports Direct for £28.00. I liked the design of this bag, as it was the right size for me and as it was black it wouldnt attract too much attention. I have used this bag once already and it seemed to do the trick. This backpack's features includes a: durable coated water resistant fabric, hydration system, ice axe/trekking pole loops, height adjustable chest straps, expandable sides for additional volume, wind tunnel back system with an internal back stabilizer, internal sleeping bag compartment that can be unlocked to form a large main compartment, 3 pockets on lid, 1 of which stores the rain cover provided. One thing that i would say I didnt like about this backpack is that I didnt quite understand all the features that it came with and could have probably made more use of it if I had known. But I guess thats my own fault. Must learn before I actually use this backpack for a big trip in November!

Karrimor Trail 200 Sleeping Bag
I bought this blue and grey rectangle sleeping bag for £10.00 from Sports Direct. The outside is made of water resistant 190T coated polyester. The lining is made of 170T soft polyester and filling is made of 200g/m2 hollow fibre. The size of this sleeping bag is 180 x 75cm and is ideal for adults, as long as your not too tall. This sleeping bag is recommended for use in the summer and the recommended temperature ranges are between 1 to 16 degrees celcius. This sleeping bag comes with a sleeping bag bag also. This bag was pretty comfortable to sleep in but was a little bit too slippy and when I moved the bag moved too.


I would definately recommend Karrimor products to those who need this kind of thing. I love the ranges, designs, prices and quality of products they offer. For the prices that I have found when buying these products I could not have been happier. I am looking at some of their other products at the moment and i am sure I will make the final sale when I have sufficient funds. This is definately a brand i would recommend over and over again. They make hiking gear look stylish.
