Advantages: Robust, Solid, Mechanically sound
Disadvantages: Expensive
The Cosmos is another release as part of the Kettler range.
The Cosmos delivers a elliptical cardiovascular workout which is designed to work with your joints, without causing any distress or impact to the joints.
The cross trainer is far more 'solid' and feels more robust than other 'home' cross trainers. We previously owned the Kirsty Gallagher cross trainer whic felt very hollow and light, this one however, feels far more like it belongs in a gym.
The cross trainer had an inbuilt computer which measures your pulse rate, kiljoules, km/h, time and distance travelled.
The cross trainer also has a manual adjusting resistance setting from 1-10 which then improves burning calories.
The cross trainer offes a work out on the arms and legs, by pushing with the arms rather than 'running' will mean that your upper body receives the full workout, vice versa for the legs.
Only a few specialist companies sell Kettler products, kettler direct for example is where we purchased ours, it had great customer service and so far we've not needed to use their support service due to the cross trainer being so efficient.
Summary: You get exactly what you pay for

- 26/10/08 That's exactly what our last cross trainer did, doubled up as an airer!
I feel guilty doing it on the kettler though ;) |

- 26/10/08 don't buy a lot of home gym things, would be too scared it would turn into a place to hang my clothes! I have used this in the gym though and it hurts--but works |
