I have had my C-Quad since the end of last year. My first flights were all a little short lived as the kite kept unexpectedly dropping out of the sky for no apparant reason. I was beginning to think that the £200 spent was going to prove a bit of a waste when I was advised to try the kite with a control bar instead of standard handles. This has transformed the behavior of the kite. The make and model of the sport kite I have is an Air-sport 150 GX, it is a delta wing with a 5 foot wing span, glass fibre spars, carbon stand-offs and fully adjustable bridle and it retails for around £25. This is no ordinary kite flying believe me, when I bought the kite it was just for fun on holiday but I was soon to learn that it requires a little more skill than I thought! Even though my kite is not exactly the best out there but it will still reach around 30 to 40 miles per hour in a strong'ish wind, say 25mph.
