I have a Marin Bolinas Ridge bike which is great for urban cycling. Its got a whole bunch of gears (of which I use only the top four) and a dope teardrop frame shape. It's pretty light, so jumping up and down curbs is a synch. I got rid of the knobbly tires and stuck on some semi-slicks for less resistance and it's loving the road even more. It's got a great Richey head set and a nice broad set of handlebars. I whacked on some Shimano double-sided pedals (one side for cleats, the other normal) and now I get an extra few mph out of it. It's got a phat seat to take some of the bumps out of the ride, and who needs full suspension in the city anyway!? ... Read the complete review
