Advantages: great way of introducing someone to the sport

Disadvantages: got to practice or will never improve

Mixed lacrosse is probably one of the best ways to introduce someone to the sport.
a mixed lacrosse team is set up by 6 male and 6 female players making a total of 12 players on the pitch for each team at one time.
games are played in 15 minute quarters on a pitch roughly the size of a soccer pitch.
the aim is to score as many goals in a 6x6 foot goal.
there are goalkeepers and they are protected with helmet, gloves, chestplate and box. arm pads and shin pads may also be warn.
you can have as many subs as you like. if you get tired, sub off and rest then get back on.

RULES
5 seconds on the ball
no hitting another players stick
no hitting another player
the ball is not aloud to hit the body or a change in poscession will take place.
there is a circle around the goal known as the crase and only the keeper is aloud in here.
you're not alloud to rake the ball to put in your stick, it has to be a clean scoop through.

and thats the basics to lacrosse.
