Advantages: Well made, good value

I have worn Mizuno rugby boots for a number of years now and as a back row forward I can usually find something in the range to suit my playing style. I have always found Mizuno to be hard wearing and capable of lasting 2 seasons which is unusual for my boots!

Mizuno boots are normally stylish to look at and generally appear in black white and yellow. There are a multitude of different stud configurations and I have always found the soles to be flexible and light while the uppers are made of genuine leather. The boots respond well to cleaning and this helps to prolong their life.

The laces are well made with enough lenbgth to be looped around the boot before being tied. The stitching on the boots is strong and I have never had a boot split.

Generally the boots are in the middle of the price range - In the past I have spent between £40 and £60 which I consider to be good value for quality boots.

Summary: Excellent quality for a reasonable price.
