It took less than 3 months for my unit to fall apart. It was squeaking terribly and leaving metal shavings on the floor...they said it was some king of gear problem. Within another week, the petal broke off. I'm just glad no one was injured on this junk. Even after they admitted that the problems I was having were "rare" and indicated that it was defective to begin with, they insisted that I pay for a replacement unit to be sent. It was completely within their discretion to satisfy my warranty claim in a satisfactory way and they chose to be jerks. Have you seen the TV ads for the wonder-machine called the Orbitrek? I had, and wondered if it was worth the money. I did an Internet search but could only find people selling the thing - hardly the best ones to give an honest opinion. We eventually got one last year. I saw an ad for it recently and remembered my efforts in trying to find out more about it. So I decided to take a new look at it and write a critique about it. Hope this helps others.
