Advantages: Cute, girly, doesn't leak
Disadvantages: Very soft plastic, design washed off too easily
I have two daughters, my eldest is Sophie who is 5 and my youngest is Emily who's 2, Sophie is capable of using a normal cup however she is forever leaving cups lying around where her younger sister can get to them and therefore I insist on her using sports bottles to prevent too much mess if Emily gets hold of Sophies drink.
I bought this sports bottle as an extra little present for Sophie on her last birthday and am pretty sure it was Asda that I bought it from, you can still buy a Peppa Pig range from Asda but as with most things they change by the season so I would expect them to be selling a different design by now. You can buy this sports bottle from Amazon and it is currently selling at £3.99 which is a little more than I would usually pay as I tend to pick them up at abolut £2-£3.
The main part of the bottle is pale pink which keeps Sophie happy as she loves the colour pink, the top which screws on and off is bright pink and the part which pulls up to allow your child to drink is pale pink so the bottle is very girly. Around the bottom of the bottle there are some pictures of Peppa Pig which at the time was one of Sophies favourite characters although now she is developing into other character choices. The bottle is shaped so that is narrows about 3/4 of the way up which makes it comfortable to hold too.
The sports bottle holds half a litre of fluids which I know as we had to measure Sophies drinks for the urethis clinic which means it holds plenty of drink for when we go out as she tends to take a drink out with her. The top of the bottle was quite stiff when she first got it and she had to use her teeth to pull up the lid which meant that we ended up with teeth marks around the top of the bottle.
The only problem I have with Sophie using sports bottles is that they are very hard to clean so I often steep them in boiling water to kills any germs, with this sports bottle I have found that the plastic is pretty soft and softens even more and feels very hot when I do this and once emptied out it takes a while for the plastic to stiffen up again.
Sophie was very pleased with her Sports bottle when she opened it but she did start favouring he Disney Princess one and Hello kitty over the last couple of months as she is getting a little old for Peppa Pig. The bottle is easy to use once the lid loosened a little and we have found it doesn't leak which is great and mean generally I managed to get it off Emily before she manages to get drink everywhere. I think the sports bottle was pretty however the design on the bottle has just about completely washed off an it did so pretty quickly which I felt was a shame, I am now planning on scrubbing the last few bits of the design off so that she simply has a pink sports bottle. I would only give this bottle 4 out of 5 due to the design washing off easily.
Summary: A cute sports bottle
