I have had my C-Quad since the end of last year. My first flights were all a little short lived as the kite kept unexpectedly dropping out of the sky for no apparant reason. I was beginning to think that the £200 spent was going to prove a bit of a waste when I was advised to try the kite with a control bar instead of standard handles. This has transformed the behavior of the kite. Now I can't wait to try it out with the buggy (ground is still a little wet at the moment) but that has not stopped my flying from a stationary (mostly) position.

The size I have is a 6.3 (6.3 metres square) and I would advise any people without significiant power kiting experiance to go for a smaller version (these kites range from 2.2 to over 8 metres square) as this one, and presumably its larger cousin, feel like you're tied to a runaway train in anything but the lightest breeze.

I would happly advise anyone who wants to try a hand at quad line power kiting to use this as a starter kite, not least because they are substantially cheaper than the alternatives (Blades, preditors etc.), however it is worth noting that they handle substantially different from most quad line kites and are (even with a control bar) a litte tempermental.
