Advantages: Easy to store, cheap and fun for the whole family

Disadvantages: Springs can sometimes get a bit noisy

After Christmas I realised that I had to do something to try and shift the excess weight that I had put on with all the seasonal treats and nights out. Having 3 young children getting to the gym regualarly is not an option and neither was purchasing an expensive piece of home gym equipment like a treadmill. Not only are these type of things costly but they take up a lot of space that Santa had already filled with toys.
So I looked around and asked a friend (fitness freak) for any advice. He recommended a trampette and originally I thought he was joking but then he explained how it is really got Cardiovascular workout but it really can tone up the thigh and bottom muscles while burning ther calories.
When I started looking at these I seen the branded ones retailing around £40 but Argos had this one on offer at £14.99 so I decided to cash in my nectar points and buy this. That way if I didnt stick with it I hadnt thrown my money away.
When I collected this at my local store I was slightly worried that it was a big box and I began to think where was I going to keep it, I could keep it in the garage but then I would never use it. Anyway with hindsight I neednt have worried. Although it is 92 cm in diameter, the 6 legs easily screw off and on so you can take it off and store it behind the sofa or in the cupboard etc. The trampette its self is made from a heavy duty frame with triple stitched nylon mat and heavy-duty springs. There is a fabric backed, padded pvc cover providing protection from the springs and it states that it can take up to 15 stone 7. It also comes with a booklet offering advice and basic things that you can do on the trampette like squatting and jogging.

When I had screwed the 6 legs on, which took a matter of minutes, I placed it infront of the tv. I was slightly concerned as we have wooden flooring and I thought that it may slip but the large rubber feet ensure this is not an issue. I stepped on and was surprised how bouncy it was but after 4 minutes I collapsed on the sofa, I was knackered. This uses muscles that I never knew I had and I used to be a fairly serious runner before I had children.

Over the past 4 months I have managed to increase this to 15 minutes daily and am amazed at the results. My thighs are thinner stomach more tones and dont feel my bottom is quite as big. I haven't been doing anything else differently as I cant find the time. I normally fit this in while read the kids spelling words or practicing their times tables. I do have to fight for it at time as the kids love to play on it and so does my husband. I feel I have to warn people though that any kind of trampoline nogood for peoplewith a weak bladder.

The only issues I have had are squeaking springs (a little WD-40 sorted this) and the rubber on the feet was a bit smelly to start with but these are minor things and I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Summary: Get fun and easy to do while watching tv. Inexpensive and well made.
